  29.  I just went through some hassle installing 3.1 roms into my rev. 9 
  30.  mb A3000.  The instructions I received told me that I must put
  31.  the rom labeled "rom 1" into the socket labeled U181 (with a silk
  32.  screened rom 0).  Well after much frustration the fine fellows at
  33.  WENTEK Computers, Scottsdale AZ helped me for free.

  35.  The roms had to go in the opposite of the way the written instructions
  36.  detailed.  Apparently the silk screening on the mb may or may not be
  37.  correct, in my case it was.  The rom 0 wound up in U180 and rom 1 in U181.
  38.  Why did it take me so long to find this out?  I kept trying to test the
  39.  the system with the daughterboard out.  The 3000 needs the roms in and
  40.  the daughterboard connected as a minimum in order to boot.  In addition,
  41.  if you don't connect a floppy it will take a few minutes as it searches
  42.  all the scsi addresses looking for something to boot from.  This delay may 
  43.  cause one to believe that the 3000 is not booting but if you're patient
  44.  you will eventually get the familiar WB screen.
